The College of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (CSTEM) prepares students to succeed in fields such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Programming, Data Science, Geoscience, Web Design, and Computational Mathematics.
This fund will provide support for these core areas:
STEM Club Activities: Support for student-led STEM clubs to facilitate hands-on projects, workshops, and community activities that help students develop leadership and teamwork skills while working on projects that directly align with current scientific and technological trends. Funding may be used for tools, equipment and supplies to execute club-based projects.
Research Initiatives: Provide financial assistance for students to conduct research under the mentorship of faculty members. Funds may be used to purchase research materials and lab equipment that will aid in the development and completion of student projects.
Academic and Professional Travel: Provide support to help students cover expenses to travel to academic conferences, workshops and competitions where they present their work, network with professionals, and gain exposure to cutting-edge research and industry trends utilized in today’s workplace. Funds may also be used for students to attend other national and international STEM-related events to broaden their academic and professional horizons.
